Clitopilus cretatus (Berk. & Br.) Sacc. Cap 0.5-3cm across, flat with a depression, becoming irregularly funnel-shaped with a frequently lobed margin; pale pink to cream or buff with pale cinnamon tinges; smooth, silky-floury. Gills adnexed with a decurrent tooth, not crowded; medium; whitish. Stem almost none to 2cm, lateral or eccentric; similar color to cap; smooth. Spores ellipsoid, spindle-shaped, with 6-8 longitudinal grooves, 6.5-8.5 x 3.5-5µ.. Deposit pink. Habitat growing on rotten wood. Rare. Found in the Pacific Northwest. Season September-October.
